Greg,
A lot of people were and still are VERY passionate about this election and the results.
Enjoy your victory, Bush earned it. But gloating is poor form.

For what it's worth I was very gratified to hear reason's precious gay marriage issue F A I L E D. I'm not opposed to gay marriage, I'm just glad reason didn't get what he wanted.
Every candidate I voted for won, almost every issue I voted for passed. I am not displeased this morning.
I do feel bad for Senator Kerry this morning. Defeat is not a pretty thing and I'm sure he is not feeling too good about now. I don't like him and I am glad he did not win, but he put up a helluva fight and really brought people out to the polls this time. Still, losing sucks...
I keep trying to tell Ken the same thing...he's wandering around the house this morning, harping the Kerry won't "concede" the election.
I keep asking him...if you were in his position...wouldn't you hold out hope until the very last second? Like it or not, the man is human....
Unlike GL, I am ashamed that our Issue 1 ballot issue passed.

He doesn't have to. As soon as the final counts are done, then it's official. Why does he have to "concede".Originally posted by Gunslinger:

typical man...it's not a win until you make the opponent SAY "I lose".

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The margin Tuesday in North Dakota was 3-1 in favor ? the same as in Georgia and Kentucky as the proposal passed in all 11 states where it was on the ballot. The margin was 6-1 in Mississippi, while the amendment was also approved in Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma and Utah.

Tell me GL...exactly what is your...anybodies...problem with letting homosexuals have an opportunity to marry? Because it's not "natural?" Because it's "Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve?"
I'm interested...
And what's worse about Ohio is that our voters in their total lack of sophistication voted to also outlaw or recognize civil unions between men and women too.
But just for arguments sake, lets say who cares that gays can't marry. They can live together so whats the big deal? Did you know that a gay couple who has been a monogamous productive couple for 40 years for example cannot leave their possesions to their partner in their will? We just outlawed that.
